Who we are
Bedroom Tested (“we”, “us”) publishes independent reviews of intimate wellness products. For data protection purposes we are the data controller. You can reach us about anything on this page at contact@bedroomtested.com.
Our approach
We collect as little as we can. Given what this site is about, we think that matters more than usual — reading about intimate products should not follow you around the internet, and we have built the site so it does not.
Specifically, and permanently:
- We do not build advertising profiles of readers.
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. Not to anyone, at any price.
- We do not use behavioural retargeting, and we run no advertising networks.
- We run no social media tracking pixels.
- We do not attempt to identify individual readers or link browsing to a named person.
What we collect
Information you give us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply to you and to keep a record of any correction you raise. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you started.
Information collected automatically
Our web server keeps standard access logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps. These are used for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site running and secure.
We do not currently run analytics software on this site. If we add it, it will be listed here and it will not run until you consent to it.
We do not collect or store payment details. We never handle a transaction — purchases happen entirely on the retailer’s own site, under their privacy policy.
Affiliate links
Some links take you to retailers who pay us commission on sales. When you click through, you leave our site and the retailer’s privacy policy governs from that point. We have no visibility of what you buy — only, in aggregate, that a sale occurred.

Who we share it with
Our website and email are hosted on infrastructure located in London, United Kingdom. Our hosting provider processes server logs and email on our behalf.
We share personal data with no one else, except where we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
- Email correspondence — 24 months from last contact.
- Server logs — 90 days.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we process it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis.
To exercise any of these, email contact@bedroomtested.com. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first — we would rather fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.
Children
This site is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We serve the site over HTTPS, keep software patched, restrict administrative access, and hold no payment data. No system is perfectly secure and we will not pretend otherwise — but we do not hold the kind of data that would be valuable to steal, which is itself a deliberate choice.
Changes
If we change this policy materially — including adding analytics or any new processor — we will update the date above and say so on the site.
